Relationships are hard. Our most intimate relationships are the places where the most negative patterning reveals itself. We find ourselves feeling and behaving in ways that we know are harmful to ourselves and others and we feel stuck. In most cases, both people in the partnership are engaging in their own negative patterning with one another.
The negative patterning leaves partners feeling hurt, confused, resentful, and worst of all unloved within the context of the relationship. The process of couples counselling is similar to the individual counselling process. Each individual will become accountable for his/her own negative patterning. The couple will be led through the process of first resolving the negative patterning within in order to create an opportunity to be in the relationship in a different way. Communication tools will be learned. Patience and understanding will grow. An environment in which love can be fostered will be developed.
